Taking The Long Way Home: A Closer Look At ‘Asset Protection’.

As part of our ‘Asset Protection Service’ we have hand-delivered high value jewellery from Newcastle to Essex, we’ve personally delivered heirlooms from the estates of the recently deceased to the homes of their next of kin, couriered important and time-sensitive confidential paperwork and, on one occasion, even a human being.

Our client had gone through an extremely bitter divorce with her ex-husband. She had been awarded sole custody of their children much to his annoyance and she was constantly living in fear that he was going to return to the North East and try and snatch her children. Loss Prevention Assessments – An Imperative Requirement To All Business Owners

Loss Prevention Assessments – An Imperative Requirement To All Business Owners

Surmount Investigations provide extensive Loss Prevention Assessments to business owners who have premises, stock and staff. Our aim is to cast an independent eye over the ‘set-up’ of your business and look at areas of weakness that could be taken advantage of by those with criminal intent.

We look at things such as the placement of your stock, how it is secured and its accessibility to members of the public. We assess your staff and how security conscience they are being whilst at work on your premises. We also offer test purchasing and ‘stress tests’ of your day-to-day business. “I Think My Partner Is Cheating On Me!”

“I Think My Partner Is Cheating On Me!”

A client came to us concerned about the behaviour of his long-term partner and the mother of his children. They had been together for over fifteen years, had a home together but things had felt ‘off’ for a while.

Their sex life had decreased, she claimed to have received a promotion from work that meant she had to do longer hours now and she only ever seemed to use her work phone of an evening which was ‘fingerprint-locked’ and always vibrating causing her to get up and leave the room when it did.

He had grown suspicious that there was someone else in her life. He had tried and failed to carry out his own enquiries but each time he said his partner would catch him out, accuse him of being “too possessive” and said his “paranoia was driving [her] away”. He engaged our services and told us he just ‘had’ to know once and for all if there was anything to his worries. Read more about “I Think My Partner Is Cheating On Me!”

Investigating “Long Term Sickness”

Investigating “Long Term Sickness”

We posted this recently on our social media pages and it drew such a positive response and an increase in enquiries into our services that we decided to move it over to give it its own space on the Surmount blog.

Last week we noticed a lot of negative feedback online but specifically on LinkedIn to a rather disreputable ‘investigation consultancy’ company and comments / posts that they made on the topic of investigating “long term sickness”. Here at Surmount, we wanted to step into the ring on what proved on LinkedIn to be a particularly contentious topic and show you where we stand.

Specifically where we stand as a company professionally, ethically and legally in the face of such ‘cowboys’ offering to “deal with” those “staff members off sick that are costing you money”. Read more about Investigating “Long Term Sickness”

Tracing A Debtor – A Breakdown

Tracing A Debtor – A Breakdown

Tracing people who don’t want to be found, commonly because they are a debtor for large sums of money, is fast becoming our most popular service because we yield accurate results quickly and efficiently.

What follows is a breakdown of the most effective way in which we work to get these results. We offer an ‘electronic’ trace service but where possible we do encourage clients to go for our ‘Agent Led’ trace service as this produces more successful results. It is the latter of these that we’re going to look more closely at today: Read more about Tracing A Debtor – A Breakdown
