Tracing A Debtor – A Breakdown

Tracing people who don’t want to be found, commonly because they are a debtor for large sums of money, is fast becoming our most popular service because we yield accurate results quickly and efficiently.

What follows is a breakdown of the most effective way in which we work to get these results. We offer an ‘electronic’ trace service but where possible we do encourage clients to go for our ‘Agent Led’ trace service as this produces more successful results. It is the latter of these that we’re going to look more closely at today:

In the first instance a client, normally the law firm representing the person owed the money, will get in touch with us and engage us for service and provide us with the known information they hold on the debtor. From this point of engagement we will spend the next 24 hours checking all legally accessible databases in line with Data Protection requirements.

Within this period, we will normally get a ‘hit’ on the debtor’s whereabouts. We then physically go out to the presented address and carry out a short, contained period of surveillance on the address in order to photograph or video the debtors’ comings and goings. We will also conduct local enquiries around this area to ascertain any intelligence further proving they are based there.

During this part of the service we do indeed thank our lucky stars for the curtain-twitching ‘Mrs Mangle’ types out there who are happy to ‘chat’.

We then go back and compile all our findings into a comprehensive report and submit it back to our client.

We’re proud to say that clients are normally so happy with the results that this goes on to birth further work with them whether that be with process serving on the debtor at a later date or carrying out extensive asset trace reporting to see whether there is value in taking legal action against them.
