The client maintained that he was somewhere else at the time and could prove it. The police took the victim’s word as gospel and charged him regardless without ever checking his alibi.
Upon being hired, we were able to prove the solicitor’s client was at the cinema, got his ticket stub, CCTV evidence of him buying food in the foyer of the cinema AND a witness statement from his Tinder date that evening… all at the time he was meant to be 24.3 miles away sexually assaulting someone!
The result? Charges subsequently dropped!
